Letter of Appreciation from LPCA President George Hodgson
July 13, 2009
Congratulations to the many volunteers from the Edmonton and Calgary regions whose enthusiasm and efforts made our Leader's trip to Alberta such a great success! Through
your hard work, hundreds of Albertans, Party faithful and media reporters were able to hear
Michael Ignatieff's vision for our country: protecting the vulnerable, preserving the jobs of today, creating the jobs of tomorrow, regional fairness and preventing a legacy of debt. The Liberal Party of Canada also recognises the increasingly important role our province plays in Confederation and is a real alternative for Albertans.
It was a tremendous start to the summer political barbecue circuit. Michael, his wife, Zsuzsanna Zsohar and other Liberal dignitaries enjoyed the western hospitality we are so well known for.
I commend you for your participation in the Canada Day celebrations in Edmonton and the traditional Calgary Stampede breakfast, which are highlights I am sure will bolster their spirits throughout the summertime as they travel across Canada to promote progressive Liberal values.
Thank you from the Liberal Party of Canada in Alberta.
Sincerely,
George Hodgson,
President, Liberal Party of Canada in Alberta
