Calgary Liberal Women's Policy Network (CLWPN) presents the Women's Caucus Event


July 5th, 2008 - After the Stampede Breakfast we had a refreshing Women's Caucus
session in the Oasis Room at the Calgary Zoo hosted by the Calgary Liberal Women's
Policy Network (CLPWN) featuring MPs Maria Minna, Carolyn Bennett, Mark Holland,
Sen. Claudette Tardif and Janine Krieber, political scientist and wife
of the Hon. Stéphane Dion.



Dawn Litzenberger, CLWPN President and Calgary Regional Chair, welcomes a
keen crowd.



Hon. Maria Minna, MP for Beaches-East York and Status of Women Critic
provides a wealth of information and initiatives within the Liberal Women's Caucus. 


 
Alberta Sen. Claudette Tardif and Deputy Senate Leader provides an
inspirational history lesson, noting the work of the Famous Five and
encouraging us to achieve more.


 
Mark Holland, MP for Ajax-Pickering and Public Works and Procurement Critic
expresses his support of the Women's Caucus and his admiration of their
strength.  


 
Janine Krieber, political scientist and wife of the Hon. Stéphane Dion shares her
experience of a woman in politics.


 
Hon. Dr. Carolyn Bennett, MP for St. Paul's and Public Health, Seniors, Disabled
and Social Economy Critic passionately details the challenges and opportunities
both the Liberal Party and women in politics face.


 
Joan Bourassa, Liberal Party of Canada National Policy Chair provides an update
on policy development in Alberta.
